Any recommendations for roof bars?

Featured Replies

I would like some reasonably good roof bars for my Fabia II hatchback SE (2012) but think that the official Skoda ones are ridiculously expensive.

Which brands have members been pleased with?  I see bars on flea-bay for about twenty quid upwards, but I don't want to buy rubbish that will scratch the roof paintwork within one day, or collapse under the weight of one suitcase!  I have some bars from a written-off Honda Civic, that are good, but they are just a few cm too short to fit to the Fabia.  I will want something fairly easy to fit and then remove, just to use for odd jobs and holidays.  No really heavy loads: no pallets of bricks, oak trees, or very fat women.

I can recommend the ExtremeAuto universal set if you have roof rails fitted.
