Steering assist - OCTAVIA

Featured Replies

Hi All

Having issues changing my steering assist in VAGCOM - Full version.

I am going to 44 - Steering assist > 10 -Adaptation....................................... then im unsure where to go from here ???? (PICTURE ATTACHED)

I understand that I need to put a number in somewhere between 1-5  to make the steering heavy or light.

I read also that I need to put channel 1 in as well somewhere ?!?!

ahhhhhhhhhhhhh

VAG-COM > SELECT > 44 - Steering Assist (Drivetrain) > Adaptation - 10 > Channel 001

Don't click the top menu. On the left hand side you've got channel if you don't click the top menu.

He has a 2009 FL mkII, so it won't work. This has already been answered elsewhere.

It's been half answered here: http://www.briskoda.net/forums/topic/419355-vagcom-steering-assist-help-octavia/

VCDS isn't able to change the steering curve on 3rd gen racks but other tools can.

If the OP has a suitable rack installed, they can flash curves from a variety of VAG vehicles to adjust the steering weight to their preference. Its also possible to create custom curves but it's something I've not tried yet.
