Rear bumper damage on my Pcp car

Featured Replies

I am on holiday at the moment and just got back to my car and noticed a big gouge and lots of scratches on the passenger side of my rear bumper. I guess it must have happened in one of the car parks I have used a day or so ago. What are my choices for a car that is on Pcp until next year? Can I get it done at a normal accident repair place or do I have to go through a main dealer? Shall I just claim though my insurance which has an excess of £150 but risk it effecting my no claims? Shall I try and source a used rear bumper at a scrappy? It has rear parking sensors so not sure what is the best option that won't cost me £1000's. I would love to know what b** tard did it.

Thanks

I would get a smart repair done or go direct to a body shop, somewhere in the region of 200 quid to fill and blend for cash

If you intend to hand the car back, best wait until just before the PCP expires before undergoing minor repairs. Sods-law says that you will obtain more dents, or another within the same place just before hand-back. It will be cheapest to get them all done at the same time.

How bad is it, can chipsaway type repair do it?

If not a local body shop you trust is probably the best option, but I'd do it just before you hand it back and get everything sorted then.
