Fabia vrs front brake specs

Featured Replies

Hi guys, does anyone know the front disc specs? I picked up some 256mm Brembo discs today but apparently 288mm also fit. Can anyone help me figure this out?

What bhp is your model?

75bhp has the smaller FS111 256mm brakes

105bhp has the bigger 288 brakes

It's a vRS, 1.4 twin charged

Standard the fronts are 288, rears 232mm

Thanks George, so where does the 256mm come from? I found the parts by reg number and apparently they fit

I'm sure I read on here somewhere that the Mk2 vRS does support the 312mm brakes like the ones from the TT and S3, is that correct or are there complications with fitting those.

No complications, just gather together the parts require and fit them.

256mm is the size of the rear disc on the MK1 Octy vRS.

They fit a Fabia chassis no problem, just with less power. Let me copy and paste my above.

It was a right pain getting the right parts but I'm 99.9% sure they will fit. Went for Brembo discs and pads, having them fitted tomorrow.

Brembo is always a good reliable choice, good anti-rust on them also :)
