Damn, She's moist

Featured Replies

Hey everyone. New owner of a 1.4 oil burner. Purchased yesterday as an emergency, Should be a good car to throw at the missus daughter, after she turns 21 too

Bloody solid car for £700. Only issue I have is that there seems to be a lot of moisture inside the car this morning. the tea-towel is drenched through from wiping the windows

Is this a common issue on the mk1 estates? (my Nissan Almera previously had a common issue with letting rain in through the rear light clusters, for example).

Enjoying the forums so far. already read up on how to blank off the EGR (Extremely Gay Regulations) Valve and going to try and shoe-horn in my HKS air filter and my Yatour CD Changer emulator (if anyone has the pinous for the cd changer connector, that'd be marvelous. I've already found the info for the nissan so would be an easy fix, with the soldering iron)

Have a feel of the rear footwell carpets to start with,if they are damp you have got the common mk1 leaking rear door window carriers, plenty of info on here/on line showing the issue

Also worth checking the drains are clear out of the scuttle panel area underneath wipers, common for them to blocked especially drivers side under the wiper motor.

You can either remove the wheel arch liner and clear it out,or remove the wipers and the plastic scuttle panel and clean them out from above :)

Check the carpets aren't damp, the door seals could be leaking

Paste the text below into Google and you'll find plenty:

Other things you can do is check the plenum drains and replace the pollen filter if it hasn't been done in a while.
