Injector P1666 fault code - injector wiring loom?

Featured Replies

Hi people. My fabia has very recently started shuddering whilst driving. Plugged it into my code reader and it's coming up with p1666 code on cylinder 1 injector valve (electrical malfunction).

Have done researh on here and general internet and I am suspecting it is a faulty injector wiring loom?

Has anyone had this code and got it fixed before? If it's the wiring loom can do myself no probs, just wondered if anyone has solved the p1666 code by changing it before I waste my money.

Thanks in advance

Mike

Mine was the loom and same code, changed it 3 days ago and its sorted now

Sounds like good news for me, did you replace yourself?

My experience which did turn out to be a faulty loom. Did a bit of a summary at the end of what you'll need to change it and where to source parts.

Thanks for that, sounds like its my problem, now whether to do myself or let my local garage do it for £141....

I have almost zero mechanical skills or the tools for the job, had it done at local garage

I work in an office, taught myself how to do stuff over here.

You only need a 10mm and 13mm socket really. Much easier if you have a universal joint as well for the one rocker bolt that's hard to get at under the egr.

In summary

Top boost pipes off

Cam cover off.

Battery and box out

Rocker cover off

Undo injector loom from wiring loom at end of engine block

Unclip loom from injectors and pull out of head.

New one in and reverse everything.

Put it back together in reverse of how you took it apart I think he means.
