Ebay Exhaust System Opinions?

Featured Replies

Hello there, i have a fabia vrs which still has the bog standard system on it, and have found a full system on ebay, and wondered if anyone had used this before, which i highly doubt, but you never know. if so could you tell me if its any good, as i know its very cheap for a full system.

Heres the system. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/351933943023

Thanks.

It's cheap due to it being mild steel and not having any silencers.

No CAT will also cause you issues come MOT time if your tester does the test properly.

It also won't give you any more performance despite the silly and obvious lies in the description.

If you want a bit more noise have the rear silencer removed. If your going to be tuning your car then the Standard system is good for circa 220bhp.

I have a miltec without a cat was on the car when I bought it . If I was buying a exhaust for the fabia vrs I'd choose a piper with a twin tip.

i have a turbo thats rated for about 210-220 so thats all i want out of it but i want it to make as much noise as possible since coming from a noisy petrol lol, feels weird driving something thats next to silent, i have been looking alot at the piper system aswell its just commiting to spending the money lol.

What does this mean? You have an aftermarket hybrid turbo that's unbelievably not been remapped to make its rated power or you have a standard turbo that you've been told will make 210-220 BHP if remapped?

If the former then you don't need to waste money on an exhaust system but spend it on a good remap, if the latter then they lied, 175 BHP is all you can get.

no i have recently fitted a hybrid, before that it was just mapped to the standard turbo so makes around 170 at the moment.

Get the remap then, no sense in making loud tractor noises if a noisy tractor can keep up with you. Unit 18 are near you, go there.

Do you have any other modified parts?

A front mounted intercooler or a an updated side mounted intercooler? Has the clutch been uprated?

I don't know much about tuning these things but I'm pretty sure a hybrid and a remap won't make 210-220bhp in a consistent, usable, way without more modifications than just the turbo.

But I do agree about the exhaust. Diesels are just quiet. It's a definite plus when you want to listen to music :)
