Citigo 40,000miles service update

Featured Replies

So couple of weeks ago our Citigo ASG had its 40,000mile service. Yes its only 2.5years old but being such a good fun car to drive the miles just keep adding up.

The previous 3 services had been FREE from Skoda as part the original Citigo purchase so i hadn't thought too much about the running costs until now.

Noticing the 40,000miles was approaching quickly I had a telephone round to obtain prices and booking in dates

The two Skoda dealers (Ipswich & Norwich) came back with identical prices £269.00 (major service .... spark plus, filters etc...) which is based on 3+year old Citigo menu service.

On this occasion we decided to use Norwich as our diaries were better suited booking in date than what was offered by Ipswich....

For the previous 3 services Ipswich had been excellent, but the important bit is Norwich realised they hadn't seen our Citigo before and the service was even better.... they even paid for TAXI to take us to the city and back as their service driver was unwell.

On returning we paid the £269 which was as quoted. Also they agreed one of the front lights was suffering from condensation and will be replaced under warranty in January 2017.

That makes it only 2 warranty claims in 2.5 years and 40,000miles...... rather amazing really! The first claim being the radio booster which failed.

Can we point out the Citigo is still on its original tyres and brake pads with plenty of life left in both

Roll on the 50,000miles service

Same tyres? Ive already changed the fronts, and the back are looking ropey at 35k. I thought my wear was Impressive.

The only rest the factory 15" tyres have had is 4 months when we used the 14" winter wheels between 2014-2015

Otherwise our secret is +1 extra psi and regular checks

The Citigo is a brilliant car...I think you've proven that!
