heated washer nozzles

Featured Replies

Hi, how do I turn on the heated nozzles for the windscreen?  I know how to turn on the heated mirror, do they come on with it ?   .  KK

if you have them fitted, they will be on already

  • The windscreen washer nozzles for the windscreen are heated when the engine is running and the outside temperature is less than +10 °C.

Unfortunately heated washer jets on Skoda's are a bit pointless as they are already out of the airflow tucked down under the bonnet in the scuttle tray.

There is little point heating the nozzles if the rest of the system isn't also heated, unless of course they are up on the bonnet.

I owned a Mark III Golf with heated jets. Yes, the jets did not freeze, but the liquid could still freeze when it hit the screen and the wipers were turned on. So little point in them as you still needed a strong concentration of antifreeze washer stuff to stop freezing on the screen. Which would also tend to prevent the jets freezing.

Yep, probably one of the most pointless options available, still its another £50 option for the dealers to bag!
