Earlier this month I bought a new car and moved my beloved Fabia vRS on to a new home.

Had just shy of 5 fun years of owning it, and although there was a few niggles here and there, overall it was one of the good ones I think and I enjoyed owning it! It really did seem to have its own personality at times! Obvious issues aside, it's definitely an underrated car.

This forum has provided so much information when I've asked silly questions so have been very grateful for that! I'm sure it's one of the best forums around. It's also persuaded me to part with lots of money and modify the Fabia! Although I feel a did a better job than the mods I made on my first car, so lessons learnt. Don't think I'll be touching my new car though.

It seems to be that this year now quite a lot of people have had their cars for 4,5 or 6 years and have decided to sell up. Hopefully the good ones will continue to live on and be enjoyed and the new owners will stay on briskoda.

I'll still be browsing the forums though, keeps me occupied when I'm bored and I'll definitely be keeping an eye on some of the projects! (My ex girlfriend didn't feel like being on the site when I was with her was appropriate, but take from that what you will)

I've got a Volvo V40 T5 with Polestar upgrades :)

It has a 2.0 turbo with 255bhp but at the moment I'm getting similar fuel economy (maybe just slightly less) than the Fabia.

I wanted a car that was quicker than the Fabia, wasn't too expensive to run, would hopefully be more reliable and was a bit more grown up maybe. I also like having cars that not many other people have got, which is partly why I got the Fabia and didn't go for a Golf R, Fiesta ST or a 1 series for example Nothing against those cars, I'm sure the reason there are so many around is because they're great cars but the Volvo fits the bill really nicely. Really enjoying it so far!

No unfortunately not, it's black. I really like the rebel blue but without ordering one brand new there wasn't any. I got mine as a nearly new, couple of thousand miles on the clock kind of thing, but got quite a big discount so I'm happy.
