Fatigue detection (take a break)

Featured Replies

I know a number of us now have this activated on our mk2 Octavia's but has anyone actually had it activate whilst driving?

I'm wondering if it is actually working but I've no idea how you find out.

Also for some reason the box un ticks itself on the maxidot menu from time to time.

Good question

I had the same question a few month after enabling it

Despite driving long distances and sometimes feeling a bit tired, nothing of a fatigue detection in the maxidot

Then one journey I heard the bong, and thought it was the black ice warning but it was the coffee cup

so in the last 2 years and 17000 miles it has only appeared twice

For the tickbox, my original gateway did the same thing. When i changed the gateway to the high version for TPMS that stays ticked all the time

Thanks for that Eddie.

So did it activate on your older gateway or the newer one?.

The newer one, look at my build thread

You can see the time span there

I changed gateway when I add the newer TPMS

Yes I have read the thread and followed a lot of your guides ,very helpful infact I have just purchased the parts for puddle lights as it's my next project.

So I wonder if it works on the flashed gateway a few of us have.

The one I have now I flashed

Oddly enough, the original gateway that i changed for the high one was sold and the guy had a fatigue warning shortly afterwards. Which surprised me as i didn't have any.

So the answer is yes it has been seen working on the older flashed gateway.

Thanks for that,it's quite a rare mod among us mk2 owners so not many to ask.

Not a clue how it knows though I have a MKIII coming back from the airport after a trans-atlantic flight it did pop up, this is the only time it has so it worked out I was tired (which I was) though I did not see any difference in the way I was driving.
