Live car anti - hacking

Featured Replies

Doesn't really matter.

You'll probably have to disconnect your car when it's out of warranty or the manufacturer stops producing updates.

How long do they patch Smart TVs for, 2/3yr. Reckon they're going to do it for 10yr old cars?

Expect to see older out of warranty smart cars getting disabled repeatedly in the not too distant future.

If the guys that make ransomware aren't looking into car hacking I'll be shocked. Billing people £500 to get their cars working again sounds like a money spinner to me.
