My understanding is the car was started with a jump start, which points to there being a high resistance on the starter motor circuit and/or a defective battery, as stated either put voltmeter across terminals and checks volt drop when cranking car over, my guess is it will be below 10 volts, but if measured across the jump- start vehicle battery it will be above 10 volts
