Hi. My Abs light keeps coming on my 05 plate skoda octavia. Taken it to a garage who are going to try and repair it or get me a new one. Been looking into it more and have read there is an issue with abs in skodas of a certain age. Even if fixed the problem can reoccur? Is that correct? Only cost £2500 to buy a couple of years ago so not cost effective to have this expensive work done every couple of years. What are your thoughts?

get a scan with vcds to see what the actual problem is

 

if it is the common G201 fault

 

Then there is a repair kit you can buy new or a 2nd ABS pump which are very cheap
