MAF sensor

Featured Replies

I have a 2007 mk2 1.4tdi, I noted the mpg dropped by 5-7 in normal driving so I checked the MAF out and it looks like a bit is missing, on the picture on this eBay advert the little wire that connects to them two posts is missing, it looks like a zener diode to me? Anyway, does this mean I need a new MAF? Or is the pic generic? The two little posts for the wire to connect to are still there on mine.

Also how does the electrical clip work for the sensor? I know you need a screwdriver but it stiff and I don't want to break it if I'm doing it wrong?

Thanks,

Ben
