Little help please...60k service

Featured Replies

My vRS has done about 56k.Not even had a sniff of a spanner for two years.

MOT due next month.Going to book it in for 60k service at same time (even though car STILL hasn't said it is ready for a service:rolleyes:

Would like some help with things I should insist are done.Cost not an issue.List so far..

1.Cambelt (might be early but I am too nervy to leave it any longer.Especially if the car won't warn me for another 2 years!)

2.Rear wipe

3.Radiator mountings (it is the only explanation I have found on here for the car creaking)

Don't know what else.Clutch? Brakes?

Thanks

What services has it had so far and when? And is the engine filled with LongLife oil?

I would have to check.I bought it two years ago with 39k on the clock.I know it had a 40 k service at that time.I understand it is longlife oil.

The service light did come on at one point.Dealership said it was too early and just switched it off! I relied on their judgment then.

I suppose really I am just wondering about going to town on replacing worn parts at this stage (It is a Y reg)

Thanks
