Road_Tax - Trick_or_Treat ?

Featured Replies

Glad I'm not buying the Beemer new after April. Annual tax is about the same anyway though (£145).

At last ,a bit of what might be called "honesty" from HMG ,after years of "culinary accounting" with the emmission rate, to recoup what they lost in those cars "said" to be in the zero band, but which we might well believe are a lot higher . By judiciously playing around with the upper limits, I've seen my VED rise from a low rate in 2007 to present 120.

Its nice to know that the smug drivers of electric cars still have to pay to be on the road  :D

How? Are you buying a new car?

"The new rules will only affect new car buyers"

Should have figured I wouldn't prise anything out of Osbourne's clamy palm - misread it.

Good to see that only pure EVs will continue to pay the zero rate of road tax !

To me the BEV savings are in the instant go with no warm up, integration of all electronics and less servicing complexity/costs........reg and fuel taxes can be adjusted accordingly AFAIC
