confused, folding help req...

Featured Replies

so, I have installed folding (flower) on 3 pc's at work, all folding ok.

I then downloded the text console version to pc1's c drive.

I ran this from pc4 over the network with the files still sitting on pc1,

so is pc1 now folding "twice" or do I have to run the text console from pc4's HD?

I want to set it up on pc4 so no one knows its there folding, including the numpty who uses pc4.

Confused, please help.

think you need to copy the install to pc4's hd otherwise you'll be folding the same data, maybe...

It will work fine, BUT the console version must be in a a different folder to the one running on PC1. PC4 is the one folding by the way.

Ill check when I go in later, I think it will be because I launched them from different folders....cheers.

Pc4 should be folding with this set up and storing the data on pc1. If pc1 isnt on you may get errors on pc4 depending on how you set it up. If this happens the numpty might get a clue to what your doing.

Pc1 is on all the time, its used as a server and RIP so hopefully it should be ok.
