Haven't been here in a very long time.

 

I'm across in N Ireland, currently looking for a nice spec'd VRS or Scout, mkI Octavia TDi 110 estate went to the big scrapyard in the sky last year after a catastrophic turbo failure after 10 + years of use and abuse, have been driving a mk4 golf 20V Turbo GTi for a whilst now, but need something bigger for the family run-around, the Mrs wants to keep the golf,  another Octavia would fit the bill perfectly for me, might even consider a Superb Estate :-)

 

Almost leased a new Scout last week but still can't get my head round that - I know it has it's benefits, but I'm getting old and old fashioned.

 

Looking for a Mkii facelift model, preferably a scout or vrs, or maybe the bank manager would let me buy an early mkiii - not fussy about either petrol or diesel tbh, don't do enough miles, only about 6-10K a year, and have the old T4 Caravelle for weekend trips.

 

No doubt be annoying folks on here about retrofits, and mods, VCDS etc.  I need a bit more practise but have a full version to play with after numerous failed attempts to fix things with ebay cables and vcds lite :-(
