Halfords paint codes -storm blue

Featured Replies

First question ever.

Trying to find a close enough match for storm blue from one of the halfords rattle cans. Some sellers on ebay but nearly three times the price and with terrible feedback.

hope someone has had a bit of luck with this.

Cheers!

I got a Halfords paint can made up in store ( Island Green ) it was a terrible match. I would find an auto paint company who can supply it, More expensive than Halfords but will be a better match

I did the same thing, same result. Got genuine Skoda paint in the end, mind you, all I needed was a touch up can.

Great help guys thanks. Just wanted confirmation that spending the extra was worth it.

not to go against what you guys were saying, just interested - I decided to try the Halfords mix just to see the process comapared to a professional colour match. I've come to the conclusion that it depends massively on who is doing the weighing of paint mix materials. If you get someone who gives a monkeys, you'll probably be fine like me. I needed to spray a headlight washer cover and I feel it is nicely matched. metallics definitely require a clear lacquer as well. But might be different if you had to do a whole panel. Just my two cents.
