In car entertainment/media system

Featured Replies

The media screen has frozen on AUX and the CD eject screen states no discs although there are 3.

Any ideas how to reset the system?

Remove the fuse that supplies the radio replace after a few mins should reset

Have looked at manual to find which fuse and removed. Nothing has changed. It said that it was Fuse number 13 located 2nd from the bottom right of fuse box inside the vehicle. Any other solution?

Fuse 13 is second fuse down on the left, the manual has the fuse box upside down.
Also try fuse 8 in the fuse box under the bonnet next to the battery?

I've removed the fuses and left the car for a while reconnected and unfortunately nothing has changed. Any other ideas or is it a trip to the dealer?

Did you remove the fuses in the door post and under the bonnet at the same time?

You could also try disconnecting the battery positive lead for a couple of minutes.

Could not find the fuse in the door since if the diagram is upside down the fuse space was empty.

If I remove the battery lead what will happen to the rest of the settings? Will it affect anything else like the next servicing mileage etc?

The diagram posted above is how the fuse box is laid out, the diagram in the book is upside down.

If there is no fuse there then it wouldn't work at all!

Remove fuse 8 in the under bonnet fuse box, not the battery lead.

I give up with the box in the door since I have taken several fuses out and it still stays on.

I have already removed fuse 8 which turned it off which was great and left car for a while. Placed fuse back and still frozen on AUX.

I have removed each one of the fuses in the box inside the vehicle and the radio continues to play!

Fuse 8 in engine bay removes the power but still stuck on Aux when you turn it back on. Any other ideas?

In my 2010 car, there was no fuse in position 13 in the "door post" fusebox . I don't know if that is common to all UK cars.

If it's any help, removing under-bonnet Fuse 8 sorted my stuck Columbus on my 1st Yeti - several times over the last 2 years of my ownership.

It turns out that the whole system needed to be replaced £756 - under warranty.

Do the systems often break?
