I noticed metallic sound in first gear when the car start moving. Sound can be heard when you depress the clutch halfway. (Rubbing something metallic)

Especially in traffic when I start and stop the car ....

Any ideas ?

Dealers visit, could be clutch, gears anything but it should not be doing that, if only then & not at any other speed or gear

Release bearing or worn finger plates, loose rivets on clutch lining, input shaft front bearing. Only a gearbox out and inspection will show which one is causing the fault, but release bearing is the most likely.

Right, went to halfords and they said clutch and flywheel...

It might be better if you supplied a few more details. Model, exact year, engine and mileage etc. Was the previous owner " No Crunch Gears" driving school ? Or " I deliver 5 ton (wet) Sand anywhere" or Tank breakdowns R us.

Hope you have a good Halfords; clutch plates changed and put in wrong way round (not on a skoda) causing need for whole unit change. Another H depot ran car into wall and smashed bumper, plus later found they had secured headlight at one fitting using adhesive tape! Family cars, not local and two different depots. Hope you get it sorted properly whatever it is.
