Anyone know why my alarm "chirp" isn't working 

have check with vcds and the box is ticked but no sound just the flashing indicators 

scanned for faults and no faults showing 

something else needs checked with vcds ? 

What mark of octavia have you got?, 1, 2 OR 3?. Has it just stopped working or has it never functioned?.

Sorry it's a 2011 mk2 

just bought it yesterday so unsure if it worked before 

The chirp can be enabled and disabled via the maxidot on the dash if you have it.

 

 

If I remember correctly it's under Settings.... Convenience.... ATA Confirm.

 

Also bear in mind that when doing this it will only activate or de-activate the chirps for the keyfob used to unlock the car that time. You will need to do it for both fobs etc.... So when you have set it once lock the car get the other fob unlock it and go to the same menu option again and set it again.

 

On our Superb the car is set to chirp with the Mrs' keyfob but is set to not chirp with my fob.
