octavia vrs exhaust

Can anyone help. I've got a 06 Octavia vrs in need to replace the rear exhaust box and I'm toying with the idea of a louder box at senible price Any advise would be good thanks ron

I find that friends that have followed the trend to go louder tend to regret it after a while as it gets annoying on long journeys and rankles neighbors.

I've gone for a custom system that on occasion can seem a tad loud. For the other 95% of the time I love it and it keeps the ten year old me very happy.

 

If it's just the back box have a look on ebay as there is a fairly cheap option here,

I went the other way and paid quite a lot for mine but I intend to keep the car.  With our other family car, we went to a local fabricator and had a cat back system made.  It's quieter than the Octavia, so less offensive to the neighbours.  I guess it depends on your budget and what you're willing to spend.

Thank you for your reply. Will check out eBay and think I will more than likely go with the standard one.  Just put that in because the wife was looking over my shoulder. Going for the loud option. Clutching on to my youth. Thanks again
