ive been looking at the extended Skoda Warranty

Is it worth doing?

Yep I would, renewed mine last night all parts covered with £250 excess. Think it was £340.

mine is a 10 plate too and I know full well if something goes wrong with my gearbox, engine or whatever I can't fork out £2.5k without peeing the missus off and dipping into the savings.

A good warranty but take care when buying for a car nearly 7 years old, because they will sell you it.

Does the car have a Full Service History to the Service Schedule / Guidelines?

Are you sure the current map on the car is the standard one and also that there has been no Remap done previously.

(Just things that can have them rejecting any claim.)

Then is the rest standard as far as Engine Components, Ignition Coils, Spark Plugs, Induction, Intercooler etc?

its got dealer service history from day one and is standard now I've took the H&R springs off and the exhaust is coming off soon for a standard too, so I think we will be ok for that side...

No mention of a Map to my knowledge and I guess no way of telling really.....

Should be OK then as they seem to approve the repairs, but be aware of the 'exclusions' and then the messing about they could try if not a total failure of the Engine or DSG.

Like saying the Water pump / Supercharger Magnetic Clutch is not covered.

Then trying to start the 'Oil Consumption Test' route,  Breather Mod, Software, Squirters etc.

But have you checked if any Breather Mod & Software update was ever done,

& is the DSG Software Update and Oil change done from the Service Campaign?
