CAN not ready?

Featured Replies

Hi got vcds and hex+can cable and my car says can not ready?

my car is 2008 so it has canbus

it won't do an auto scan or connect to any individual module.

never used one before so any info would be great.

silly question

was the ignition on?

and did you do the Test and Save option

Ignition on engine off. And yes test and save. What should it look like when you test it?

Anyone?

What software version are you using?

Hooky copy or legit?

Fixed my noob issue...

I tested the cable when I first had installed it and saved

when I plugged into the car I used a different usb port as it was a stretch to get to the first one I had used...

So did another test and save and now it works

Wish I hadn't, got a fault log longer than my arm and no idea what half of them mean

It's not unusual for old fault codes to be hanging around. Save them, clear everything, go for a drive and see what comes back.

Post up the scan and we'll see what we can sort out. Probably most of them are intermittent faults that can immediately be discounted.

Just attach the .txt file that is stored in the C:\rosstech\VCDS\logs folder

Auto scanned yesterday.

Tried to open 09, it worked and then disconnected me about 5 mins later when I was looking for the things you said. After that it would not let me reconnect...

I can connect to 01 every time...
