Hi I have a Skoda Fabia 02 1.4 16V Automatic. Just before Christmas the Engine Management light came on and every now and then the EPC light comes on and goes into limp mode. The car doesn't overheat and I have no visible leaks. I managed to get the code off a code reader and the only code was P0106.
I thought it could be the map sensor but I've been researching and now I'm confused could it could be something else.

Thank you DGW Ive read all of that, the only other thing is that I have a creamy looking gunk on my engine oil cap. Someone said that's a indication that my head gasket is failing cos water is mixing with the oil. Is this true? could this be the fault?

Hi Sam

the creamy white deposit on your oil filler cap has always been a good indicator of a problem with a head gasket, not sure how it might relate to you code issue though.

Did you see this thread about P0106 and checking for air leaks around vacuum servo?

 

 

And this one has lots of detail, may help pin down issue.
