Cant find Map sensor - Race chip

Featured Replies

Hi all

I have just got myself a Race chip 2, i went to fit it but i cant find the map sensor. The instructions that came with it show a photo of the old TSI engine! Can anybody send me a photo of where it is ?

Cheers

Martin

Congratulations on purchasing the RaceChip!

RaceChip have very good customer service, you can ask them directly. I ran into the same issue last spring, and I got a mail with links within an hour after contacting them.

In this image you should be able to see where to connect the racechip:

I was sceptical amount Racechip but after seeing them on Shmee150's youtube channel I'm more likely to get one, I'd probably just get the cheapest box which gives about 21bhp, which is about 100 euros cheaper than the 2 box which gives 28bhp, i think ill do without the extra 7bhp and save 100 euros

Thanks for that, i did find it in the end under the airbox. To be fair to race chips they did email the instruction manual and it was correct. It was only the manaul in the box that was wrong. I should have checked that first !!

But i am really happy with the results, engine feels much stronger in the mid range now !!

I was even able to tune up the racechip several steps, and that way get even more power!

I'm looking at getting one of these for my 1.0tsi Polo. Have you noticed any actual improvement in fuel economy and power?
