Police Training Vehicles???

Featured Replies

Giving it some beans with full siren action, past the office window yesterday afternoon and again this morning:

Silver Octy vRS with a Yellow stripe running the length from front to back with POLICE in black lettering on the drivers door, closely followed by a high spec Mondeo Estate in silver with same livery.

No visible lights as only seen from side-on.

Not seen any like this before

Probably some sort of non-traffic related department. Armed response perhaps?

Thames Valley training vehicles are totally unmarked.

follow them barrie! find out where they are based!

Police in chelt / glos use silver honda accords with no markings on the bonnet and the blue light on top is so thin! If one of them creeps up behind you on the M5, you wouldnt even know it was the police.

More and more force sar eusing non-white cars as they're easier to sell on and hold their value better.

In my super fast, turbocharged, 500bhp Toyota Yaris!!

And they presently have 2 or 3 fully stickered Mistsubishi EVO's "on test" according to my IAM examiner

The EVO's wont last long though as I expect they dont take kindl;y to ragularly being thrashed from cold. The fuzz wont like the service intervals/costs either.

When the Police closed the main station in Chester, they opened a smaller station just outside in an area called Blacon -- is where most of the trouble comes from so makes sense!

Anyway when they first opened it was like wacky races with plod cars flying up and down sealand road outside our garage at warp factor nine -- apparently it was to find out what there best response times would be

I heard somewhere that Thames Valley Police were given a fleet of WRX PPP'd Impreza's as traffic/rapid response cars but apparently the guv'nor asked Subaru to take them back after a week as he was worried his officers were going to kill themselves in them

A quick google didn't turn up the story, but did suggest that Subaru are supplying Imprezas, Foresters and Legacy's to them so it's probably not true!!!
