Vrs discs and pads wanted

Featured Replies

MOT time for the flying Vrs and need F&R discs and pads.

Main stealers want £490 fitted so looking around.

Am looking at  Pagids from carparts4less.co.uk.

Anyone know if we still get discount when purchasing online and what the code is?

Regards

Also check their sister site carparts4less. They are usually cheaper.

ECP usually has the codes on their home page.

Got Pagid disks and pads all round on my VRS. They have been pretty good.

The code comes up on their home page it changes all the time.

make sure you measure your disks as there are different sizes for the fronts mine were 281mm.

the site asks for your car details but you contact them with your reg to make sure.

I just had mine replaced with same disks pads from there , i can recommend them very efficient service.

I ordered wrong size by mistake.

I just ordered more and paid them and extra £3.50 and they collect the package id orderd wrong and refunded me in full on arrival to them it took about 3 days.

very easy to deal with and the disks / pads are great , I had them fitted at an independent garage at a cost of £60

I think the total including parts was around £270. but you might get more discount than me as it changes all the time.

Thanks for the replies chaps.

My car is: Mk2 2012 Octavia VRS TDi DSG

Measured disc sizes:-

Front: 312 x 25

Rear: 272 x 10

I thought the rears would be 282 x 12 but obviously not and the 272 OD fills out the pads and caliper ok.

Will check PR nos.

Ordered a set of Pagid discs and pads front and rear from here http://www.carparts4less.co.uk/ £176.06 inc 14% online discount and postage. I phoned initially to check part numbers and also whether discs have anticorrosion coating. The guy on the phone was very helpful and actually went and checked the stock to confirm yes had silver coating.

Local Skoda parts dept. quoted £ 304.27 which inc £20% discount!!!

The caliper slider pin grease arrived today from ebay, 4 sachets £3.98 inc postage from http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Toyota-VW-Vauxhall-Brake-caliper-Slider-Bolt-Silicone-Grease-Sachets-2-x-10000-/281474187432?hash=item41892b40a8:g:EGsAAOSwDN1URlsh

These guys have good prices  http://www.brakesint.co.uk/ website seems slick too.
