Vacuum Pipe Valve?

Featured Replies

Can someone tell me what would be the consequence of removing the small 'non return' valve in the vacuum pipe, between the 'Y' and inlet manifold, (See picture, circled)?

And before anyone asks, I want to fit an Ekotek valve and I've seen a Seat Leon Cupra with the non return valve removed and the Ekotek fitted there. But the non return valve must be there for a reason, so I'm not 100% about that fitment position, (although it would be the easiest!)

Awww, come on, someone must know what it does!

I can't believe I've stumped the 'Tech heads' out there.
