Powerflex Bushes

Featured Replies

Had anyone fitted powerflex bushes to there Fabia VRS Mk2 yet on here?

Just interested to see what you think.

I fitted some to my Mk1 Fabia VRS and it made a vast improvement

Gunna follow this, hearing a few knocks recently so might be a good time to start changing.

Not fitted to a vrs  but to a 2011 1.2 Tsi  suspension, anti roll including the lower engine mount. And recommend them car is lot stiffer even with standard springs and shocks. Only problem I had was that on idle when the AC kicked in the engine would rock the car.  This was sorted when got the remap by slight increase idle speed for AC.

I remember all the lads in the 90's used to fit powerflex bushes to their escort rs turbos & renault 5 gts. They do work however I wouldn't recommend stuff like this as when you stiffen stuff up it has a knock on effect & causes increased wear in the chassis elsewhere. It's nothing to worry about if the car is predominantly a track car but for road use it's not ideal.

I've not fitted the Black ones as they are for track/race use and are far stiffer than the Blue ones which are designed for road use

Yeah black are very heavy duty.

Its mainly road road use but it is getting some track day and sprint useage this year.

Might have to have a price up of some

They defo make a difference and they won't split/pop out if you have the later style arms... mine is a 2013 monte
