Front suspension knock on Fabia 2

Featured Replies

I have a knock from what appears to be from the passengers side front suspension when I go over larger pot holes or over speed humps. Doesn't always clunk. Started off once in a blue moon but now more often.. any idea where to start to get rid of this annoying clunk..?

Many thanks

Welcome.

Best go see someone at a garage with mechanics and see what is worn, broken or loose.

Something is needing attention.

I suspect it's probably ball joints. I've just bought two for both sides genuine febi bilstein ones £14 delivered off ebay item number 301999350027.

I had a clunk but it was more when I set off from standing start.

Turned out out to be an engine mount bolt worked loose...

It could be your droplink. I had the same kind of thing happening and the dealer put a new droplink on under warranty and that cured it.

Thanks all.

After I posted this, it decided not to clunk.. until today when on my 3 mile journey to work, it clunked like a b***h! Not sure if the damper, colder weather has anything to do with it :mmm:.  Either way, shall take it to be looked at today now.

Don't suppose anyone knows of any websites / sellers of high quality parts for Skoda's?  [Don't want bargain basement but not paying dealer prices either :speechless:]

Thank you

If something needs doing are you doing it or some mechanic or independent,

they can get parts at Trade Price and will have their normal supplier / factor.
