Water pump location? (Fabia vRS)

Featured Replies

Just a quick question, where is the water pump located on my Fabia vRS? Am I right in thinking it's on the left hand side of the engine as you're looking into the engine bay from the front of the car and it's belt driven, not chain driven?

I have a slight coolant loss problem and the supercharger charger doesn't appear to be working anymore. Does that point to the waterpump having failed? There is also a slight damp patch where I suspect the waterpump is but just want to double check it is that before I order something I don't need.

Thank you!

You're right mate. Left side of the engine right at the very bottom. Unsure if its belt or chain sorry. Had my pump changed recently. There was also a damp patch I could see like you describe.

The water pump is towards the back, behind the engine mount and is driven by the auxiliary belt.
