Hi. My Skoda Fabia VRS Mk1 1.9TDi 2005 has a yellow light lit on instrumentation panel, exhaust emission.

Dealer has analysed fault (G81) and it's coming from the fuel temperature sensor. The engine is running smooth but slightly lacking power but fuel economy is normal. Been driving it for months with the light lit but would like to get the light off again for peace of mind.

Looking on the web it seems like an easy diy fix.

The part no for the fuel temp sensor is 038 906 081B I think?

Can anyone confirm if they've had the same fault code and what they did about it?

Best to get it sorted out quicker rather than later. I lulled myself into leaving it, then the coolant temp sensor went.... I knew about the one but not the other.
