Genuine VAG GPS/DAB/FM/GSM sharkfin for a fraction of the dealer price:

Took a few days to arrive, but well packaged and does the job perfectly.

Do I have to get a new lead and run it to that from the radio

I'm fitting a RNS(sshhh:tongueout:)do I need a new lead as well ?

and all those connectors, what are they for lol,I take it my standard aerial won't have all those ?

That's the same aerial I offered you. You'll also need 2 more leads to connect it to the new unit you bought, they were also included in the deal. As would be any information required regarding fitting etc. coffee.gif

No good though if the RNS didn't suit, and you couldn't sort postage

not to worry though, have sourced all elsewhere now, fitting won't be a problem :)

What you mean there is while I was cooking tea for the family and didn't have time to check for a price from a courier other than UPS, you decided that waiting half an hour was too much of a chew and bought one from someone else. Postage from the UK mainland to Northern Ireland could well be the same price for a standard first class letter, but sending £500 worth of fully insured equipment most certainly isn't.

Still, I'm sure you'll get all the help you need from the seller you bought one from, so you won't need to ask questions about fitting on here... oh wait a minute...

You seem to be taking it personally because I didn't buy yours ?

a bit childish ?

yours wasn't the RNS I was after (it would have done if I couldn't source another),I sourced a newer one, that I wanted ?

ive posted many many car parts to the mainland, prices don't differ, some who know no better just hear "Ireland" so assume it's different(not Northern Ireland)

ive fitted many RNS510s,it's not a problem ;)

a sharkfin I haven't fitted, but I've obtained the relevant help on here as I have with many things in the few weeks I've been on,thankfully most members aren't as childish as some :o

That's okay then. I do know the difference between Ireland and Northern Ireland as well. As for childish, I'm old enough to know better than that, but to be honest I'd prefer it if selling something to someone was a two way mutually beneficial agreement, but on this particular occasion I'm happy to have avoided a sale.

Still, at least now you know the difference between DAB and DAB + which would be a lesson learnt eh?
