Q2 deals worst than Q1 deals

Featured Replies

Is this normal pratice for Skoda UK or am I just being fed a bit of Sales bull?

With the new 17-plate it may just be a matter of demand and supply.

The deals look the same to me. Haven't changed for months on a Skodas site.  Worse in what way?

The salesmanager I was talking with today said the Q2 deals had far less OEM deposit contribution and worst APR

Thats weird. I would assume they normally go by what Skoda uk are doing themselves according to their website. Still £2500 on superbs and £1500 on new Octy. Been like that since January at least. Would have been better at 0% on Pcp but that's only available on the older style Octy.

Maybe they are about to change it.

BREXIT and variable exchange rate impact per chance?

Just a thought...

Hmmm. I may have to leave any order until 29th/30th of March, should be able to see the Q2 deals by then.

This happened last year. I ordered in Q1 and by Q2 the deposit contribution had gone up, but so had the APR and the OTR price. The overall price was higher in Q2. It went down to 0% APR again in Q3.

If they make the Octavia even more expensive they will be pricing themselves out of the market. The really low discounts I'm seeing on a FL VRS means I'm seriously considering a Golf R. And I would genuinely rather buy Skoda than a VW. With low residuals the VRS on a PCP is in the same monthly payment ballpark as Mercedes C/BMW 3 when they are discounted.

Yeah the new vRS with a 3 grand deposit, 2 grand of extras is coming out at £388 a month over 42 months. Against this the PCH is only £343 a month but, I'm concerned about how much damage/mileage charge there will be at the end of the lease.

What mileage is that on?

10k miles

I'm not making a mileage mistake again on my pcp. Paying for the correct mileage this time instead of being nearly 15k over near the end.

Yeah but, I only do 11k miles p.a. so, I'd rather pay the difference on the backend of the deal if, I can't wriggle out with a VT
