Recommendations - Wheel Bearing Kits

Featured Replies

Front right wheel bearing is playing up (rumbling noise etc). Thinking to change all 4 at the same time as i think theyre due for a change. Any recommendations? Ive seen a couple on EuroCarParts, SNR -130.99 each and Orbis -112.99 each, not sure how decent these are but if theres any other decent companies that some of you guys can recommend that would be great.

had both font bearings replaced on mine recently. i heard good things about F A G bearings. they are also cheaper

I have no direct experience of any of the three brands mentioned.  Back when I've changed bearings a long time ago, I think it was SKF that were recommended. A long time ago though.  If you look at GSF listings they list a standard and a premium product.

The standard is about line ball with the Orbis prices from ECP, the premium is £160 for the fronts. Rears a little cheaper I think. There is a 20% discount to take off so £128 for fronts. You'd have to call to find out the manufacturer - it doesn't seem to appear anywhere.

Also, ECP has up to 50% off today with PAT55 - when I put that in for the SNRs it bought it down to £91 (around a 30%) discount which is worth having.

Personally, I've found Premier Factors in Wallsall pretty good for mail order, so you could call them and ask what they stock / price.

Edit: Ps if you want to get the prices from ECP / GSF you have to click and collect or order for delivery. If you walk in their prices are usually different.
