Service book on new yeti?

Featured Replies

Hi, I picked up my new Yeti Monte Carlo on Thursday.

I'm learning my way around it's features etc and was looking through the handbook and couldn't help noticing that there doesn't appear to be a book to keep service records / stamps.

Is this normal nowadays or should I be chasing the dealer on Monday?

Thanks

This is the norm now. All the service records are stored electronically, but you should receive a printout in a card sleeve when the vehicle is serviced.

You can ask the dealer to give you a book. I have one for mine. Just as well as they forgot to enter one of the services in the electronic service record so if I didn't have the book & print-out I'd have no evidence that that service was ever carried out.

The electronic service history only works if the dealer actually knows what they're doing.

If you can not trust the Employee a Dealership puts on the Service Desk to know how the Computers, IT and Keyboards work then best not trust them with a Rubber Stamp and pen,

or to hand your keys through to VW Group Trained and qualified Technicians and Fitters the Computer Equipment & a plug in device.
