If your thinking of doing them black I think the Paint is Black Satin ( heat proof )

Would the paint not just keep chipping/peeling off? Or is it that they need to be powder coated as well? Some body has done this on the forum? But I cannot Remember who.

Best thing to do is to ask the dealer how much the black exaused tips cost. Then only screw on/off.

They would have a 2 year warranty against and chipping/peeling etc

They're €109 per side at superskoda by the look of it.

I want these also however at £190 a set, it is looking unlikely.

+1

I know that @Petunet has done his and they look quite good.

Yes, I have used Black Magic color on all my black parts.

Or Carbon fibre but not in this case.

@Petunet How did you colored? direct on the original black colour or some adjustment before it?

Mine were originally chromed, not a 230 you see.

I took them to a local paint shop to have them professionally painted and I observed what they did:

- Sanded to a matt finish

- Applied DP40 primer https://totalbodyshop.co.nz/item.php?id=4593

- Sprayed Black Magic 2K paint

- Finished with 2K lacquer

I'm not sure how heat resistant it is but I don't think it'll be a problem.

Looks great with black pearl
