SOLD: Vauxhall Astra CDTi SRi 150 - £1200

Vauxhall Astra 1.9 CDTi SRi 150

2008 (57 plate).

126,000 miles.

MOT until 30th October 2017.

Part service history.

2 owners from new.

Selling on behalf of my mother. Very honest car, but has some issues as highlighted below…

  • Flywheel rattling a bit. Drives perfectly fine and clutch bite is spot on.
  • 2 out of 4 alloy wheels lose pressure. Wheels probably need a refurb to sort the issue. Tyres are cheap and I’d recommend replacing them when alloys are refurbed.
  • Wiper motor must have some play in it, as wipers are loud and stop short of the bottom of the windscreen (clear the screen fine though).
  • Air con needs re-gassing.
  • N/S wing mirror is missing the bottom plastic part and needs replacement glass.
  • Few scuffs on the body (main one on the N/S front bumper & wing).
  • No dents (that I can see!), but needs a damn good machine polish to take out lots of little marks and scratches all over the car.
  • Needs a vacuum inside!

OK, so bad points aside, onto some better points…

  • No strange noises from the engine or turbo, other than previously mentioned flywheel rattle. Car boost fine and pulls as it should. No excessive diesel smoke and no white or blue smoke.
  • Does not use coolant or oil. Coolant has been changed previously and is a nice shade of red.
  • The cambelt and water pump was changed 20k miles ago, in December 2015 (receipt to prove).
  • New discs and pads October 2015. Brakes are very good.
  • Suspension is all good. Absolutely no unusual knocks or bangs.
  • EGR cleaned out previously and working spot on.
  • Part service history in book. I have serviced it a couple of times also, but obviously there is no proof of this.
  • Car has had a very easy life in the hands of my Mother! Never been thrashed by any stretch of the imagination.

If I had the time and space I’d buy it off my Mum and do the few jobs on it. As it’s a good little car!

£1200 ono

Car is sold as seen.
