Hi all, I have just purchased a 2000 'X' plate Octavia estate SLX 1.9 TDi ALH estate with 183,000 for the pricely sum of £350  the car is in pretty good condition and will be used as my daily Mon - Fri slog car. The car has had 1 previous owner, an old man who religiously had the car serviced every 10k miles at the supplying dealership which is great, the downside is he used the car to transport his dog everywhere, so the car is somewhat covered in dog hair and stained seats!

 

I have cleaned the car out and wet vac'd the seats which has brought them up like new, the dog smell is still faintly there though. I have just carried out an oil change and replaced the air filter, the car has returned an impressive 68mpg on my 35 mile commute.

 

I currently own a '59' plate Golf GTD which used to carry out these duties but i didnt like to put 20K plus miles on it annually so have decided to sell after just 1 year.

 

I will buying an Audi S5 to scratch the V8 itch in the next few months as my fun weekend car.

Alfa welcome to the forum can't beat the sound of a V8 .
