is my Information display dead

Featured Replies

Hi

I recently bought a fabia combi (2007) and everything seemed fine.. however I just noticed that the black aquare right in front of me, can actually show something.
I am not sure what I thought, but I guess I thought it was for warning lights, or something:-)

Anyway, Is there a way that I might make this thing come alive? I was hoping (dreaming, possibly) that it could be a blown/missing fuse (which seemed to be the case, with the rear window wiper), but I can't really seem to figure out which one it could be?

Yesterday I tried removing the minus-wire from the battery, for half an hour, (someone recommended that I tried that) but it didn't do anything, in regards to the Information Display:-)

Any good advice? (a part from doing my homework better, when buying a car.. Got it :-) )

Most Mk1 Fabias just have warning lights in the square bit.

A few have the Maxidot display

I do believe you're right! I only have the warning lights..

I just asked at the local authorised Skoda workshop.. they confirmed this:-)

Thanks!
