Updating Columbus Without Skoda SD Card

Featured Replies

I've had my Octavia for about a month and noticed my Columbus system hasn't been updated in a while.

In my glove box I have an empty case which should of housed an SD card for the system.

Can I use a regular SD to update it?

Columbus does not need any special card (just do not use a Mac)

Download the info from the update portal, unzip to a blank card

Put the card in  one of the slots and update

This is only the maps, firmware need to be the dealer.

That's great thanks! I assume I would have to pay for the dealer to do a firmware update?

You can also use a USB device to update the maps. It was quicker than an sd card when I used a portable ssd drive in a usb caddy.
