Clutch Pedal Vibration & tractor-like engine noise (3 cyclinder)

Afternoon all,

The easiest way I can describe this and how is happens is to try and break it down and to hopefully diagnose the issue.

Once coming off the motorway, and slowing down to a junction or roundabout I come to a near stop, I change down to 2nd gear and pull off. All of a sudden I get instant vibration as I engage the clutch to select 3rd, the engine feels like it's down on power and it tricky to select gears. The clutch vibration is horrific and I feel resistance as it goes down. I found if I chuck it in 5th and cruise for a while at a much lower speed the issue goes away. I don't want to be doing more/if any damage to the car but it seems to do it on long journeys.

Short/med trips are fine, however it doesn't always do this.... Maybe once every 4/5 trips.

After doing a little research I've come across some other topics across the web with similar issues:

Hoping some can help with the issue, is it the DMF? But would that also cause the loss of power (or it feels like it) and with the engine revs sounding like a tractor?

Thanks

I know there're a few topics on this, but does anyone have any advice? 200 mile round trip yesterday and half way through the engine tone changed and as soon as my foot goes on the clutch the vibration is there, it's then hard to select gears and when I do finally get it into gear, it's like there is more sound and less power.

I would says it's almost like the DMF is not aligned or not gripping (not sure how they work).. But something is up with it, I'm just not mechanically minded to know. I let the car rest for a few hours and the symptoms are gone, but return once again up to speed (motorway speeds). If I'm driving in town roads, the problem goes away slowly to the point where gear changes are silky smooth and no clutch vibration at all.

It seems this is an issue at high speed 70mph, I've never experienced this driving around towns or on B roads.
