1st MOT - Citigo ASG

Featured Replies

So on Monday will be the first MOT on our Citigo ASG.... 3 years have whizzed by and its nearly at 48,000miles

What are the common failures people have noticed trending so far?

Is your car about to have the Warranty Expire seeing as the MOT is due at 3 years.

Have you had a Service and got any Warranty Items sorted if there are any?

You should have no need for a Fail or even an Advisory if the car has had Servicing & Maintenance & you check Lights, wipers and tyres, washer etc before the MOT.

My mot coming up too. 32000 miles covered. Prices vary from £19 to £54.

My warranty is for five years. Is this normal or was it a special offer? Did try to trade for new one before the zero road fund tax ended, but, terrible deals.

Mot booked for 2pm tomorrow. Fingers crossed.

So we passed :). Long story but it was on the second attempt without the skoda listening prior to undertaking the test on the lights.

The dealer then realised on the fail it was under warranty and same day replaced the faulty headlight (which had originally been reported on its first service as faulty but ignored)

Apparently we need new discs and pads...... we dont ....... 50% worn at best

Apparently we need new front tyres ........ we dont ...... 2.6mm on both

Mine passed too. I think they are correct to advise you when tyres go below 3mm. You still are not down to legal minimum of 1.6mm. Tyres aqua plane and puncture more easily when worn.

Glad you got through in the end, what a relief.

Yep, all garages will advise to change tyres when they get below 3mm. But there's still life left in them, just remember to check them every so often :)
