TDI glow plug timer relay issues....

Featured Replies

Hi all,

I have a 2002 Skoda Octavia 1.9 TDi. We've only recently bought it from a Garage via EBay. The car starts and drives perfect when its warm but takes a while to start when its cold.

It was compression tested today and scanned and it came back as glow plug timer relay (it has new glow plugs fitted by old owner so he obv was aware of the issue)

So anyway we've noticed there is a plug disconnected and looks like it may of burned a little?... Is this supposed to plug into the timer relay? Any reason why it would have been disconnected?

Im thinking of getting a new relay and plugging it back in but im scared in case there is a dangerous reason its unplugged.

Thanks
