Maximum weight in estate boot ?

Featured Replies

Anyone know how much weight my 280 Estate could safely carry in the back with the seats down. Just me and one front passenger.

715kg is the maximum payload of a 280 estate but that'll be in total, across both axles...

I assume you don't have the variable boot floor? This has a restriction of something like 75kg when in the high position.

Wow ! Well first time I have had the car totally full..... Arrived to pick stuff up with the Mrs and she said no way is all that going in the car..... It did ! The thing is like a bloody Tardis !

I too am impressed with just how much will go in.  Even managed to get a 50" TV (out of its box) vertically!:)

There is a downside to this...

when going camping ping we now take too much crap which I say we won't use and don't.

when we go to holland/ Germany... we also take too much crap which again does not get used... on a plus point I don't need a roof box ... I have told the mrs I can't buy the roof bars yet as it's a new car....... lol .... see how long that lasts...

I can supply evidence to the contrary if needed, you know, just in case.........
