There is nothing wrong with this, except I don't use it enough! I was using it for some IOT development last week. I like the note taking via oneNote and the pen. It's going to be missed.

 

For sale then, is a Microsoft Surface Pro 2, 128Gb storage, 4Gb ram. It will come with the pen, charger and the type cover. The type cover is purple.

Still reckon it would run Office apps ok? Thinking of my daughter for college work.

Which apps, I can probably get a trial to see. It's ok for me to use with chrome and plenty of tabs. It runs the google cloud apps fine, i.e. docs, sheets. Also ran libre office ok.

 

At 4Gb of ram it's going to be ok, never amazing or brilliant. Most chromebooks have  4gb or less of ram, it's all how much you push it. If you; your daughter, opens 40+ tabs it will choke, but so does my dev laptop (same processor age with 16gb of ram)

 

I've used it to watch netflix and other stuff, so for that sort of work, it's fine! If using for extended times, I'd have to say an external monitor would be a good call, if only for ergonomics. That would be true for any mobile device though.

 

For note taking it's great. The later ones even better, but the latest one is south of 2k   The processor is a low w i5, not much different to today's newest ones in real terms, maybe a bit hungrier on battery.
