Couple of quick Q's

How do you disable the "View" dropdown menu when a database is opened. We need to do this to stop members of the public getting into design view.

Can you hide the main window that shows the tables/forms etc, so that only the form you want to open is open?

Lastly, when I create a shortcut to a view and save it on the desktop double clicking comes up with an error message saying it cant find the database. This even though I can do file > open and its there. How can I sort that. I thought about creating a macro called autoexec that opens the form, but cant seem to get my head around the vbscript.

If you haven't had any response to this by the time I get home from work tonight, I'll post up some instructions for you - can't do it at work cos we haven't got Access!

Disable all options under Tools/Startup - i presume you've designed your db in such a way for it to be navigated via forms only to the public, then when you want to open up the db window(ie tables design views etc) just hold down Shift key, and this will open up db design window.

Dont let the shift key out the bag though, otherwise they will have access to all your db - there is a way of stopping the shift key though through vba, but thats for another day me thinks.
